COSMETIC PRODUTCS
I’ve been making my own products since 2012 and I have learned to develop my own recipes with experience and practice. All of my recipes are thus registered in INPI France and protected by the Intellectual Property Code. All of my products are validated by a chemist expert when creating the DIP for each product (DIP = Product Information File which is established as soon as a cosmetic product is placed on the market in the EU)
All of my recipes are verified and do not contain any prohibited substances according to Regulation 1223/2009, which lists certain substances that may cause potential danger to human health.
All of my products are 100% natural, vegan, bio-sourced and as many as possible from organic farming. I always use a non-GMO soy wax and vegetable stearin for my candles, and I do not use beeswax or honey. The ingredients which are traditionally derived from animals in industrial cosmetic products have been replaced by a vegetable version: vegetable glycerin, vegetable collagen, biodegradable vegetable alcohol, mulberry silk proteins or vegetable lanolin.
All of my cosmetic products are lab tested according to French regulations , which makes testing mandatory for all the products in contact with skin. The development of a product, its safety and stability require numerous preliminary tests. As the only responsible for placing my cosmetics on the market, I must ensure your safety: it’s essential that my products don’t present any danger to you under normal conditions of use. The cosmetic assessment of my products consists of assessing safety for human health, assessing toxicity, and possibly additional tests proving the claims made. These assessments are conducted by an independent toxicologist. In France, cosmetics are considered such as health products and are regulated by the Public Health Code. They must be notified on the CPNP portal before being placed on the market and are then controlled by the DGCCRF and the ANSM. Therefore, in order to be marketed, my cosmetic products must comply with the rules set out by the European regulation on the subject: compliance with good manufacturing practices, compliance with the obligations established by the European regulation and fairness of the informations provided to the consumers.
My products are not and will never be tested on animals! Article 18 of Regulation No. 1223/2009 specifies that animal testing is prohibited for all finished cosmetic products placed on the European market. I do really care about animal welfare and mistreatment and I sincerely believe that we can create natural products without making anyone suffer. My products are lab tested in vitro and in vivo and also on a panel of human testers for several months before being placed on the market. They also undergo regular checks to ensure your safety and well-being without any health risks.
My cosmetic products can be stored between 6 and 12 months depending on the nature of the product and how you storage it. Products containing water are more sensitive to microbial development, so they can be stored for between 3 and 6 months but up to 12 months if they are stored in optimal conditions (cool place and away from light and heat). Temperature variations can impact the shelf life of the products, make sure to store them in a temperate room and avoid temperature shocks.
You can wash your hands before taking the product to optimize the storage of your creams. You shall put the safety cap back on before closing any pot. Oily products can be stored for 12 months avoiding direct contact with light. If texture or odor seem to have changed, do not use the product anymore because it may have expired and cause create allergies.
If you can’t find a specific product on my website, it can mean two things:
– the product is out of stock and will be put back online later so do not hesitate to contact me for asking
– the product is no longer on sale: some products can be seasonal or exclusive to some collections
I can customize some of my products by removing or replacing an ingredient in case of pregnancy or allergies. Do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail at contact@thewitchhut.fr by copying the link of the product which is concerned by your request. Beyond these cases, no customization is possible. Each recipe is validated in this way and all the ingredients are useful for some good reason 🙂
All bottles are made of recycled glass or recycled aluminum and are sustainable so you can keep them for your personal use after cleaning.

(valid in the entire store and with no minimum purchase)
I first spend many hours developing my researches through history books, university researches, mythology, literature, folklore or botanical studies. I’m experiencing my own magical correspondences by working with herbs and plants in correspondences with their spiritual nature. I made all of my products being full aware by ritualizing according to the different lunar phases or special magical days. My creations are then purified and dedicated to their specific use before being offered for sale.
Wholesale is only possible for professionals and from 30 units per product. Prices are decreasing according to the quantity. Do not hesitate to contact me by email at contact@thewitchhut.fr to discuss it or get a quote.
All of my products are carefully wrapped to avoid damage and breakage. Each order is wrapped with protective and black paper and some little attentions. In case of gift order, you can specify it in the order message and I would pack the products in a box with a beautiful ribbon ! For any personalized message, do not hesitate to add your little note in your order 🙂
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
My preparation and shipping time can vary from 5 to 15 days during rush periods. As a craftswoman I make all my items by hand and I have to take care of the packages, graphics, webmastering, social networks, administrative and financial management of my small business. This requires a significantly longer time than an industrial product made by machines 🙂
If your tracking number is still in “awaiting shipment” status, it means that your package is ready but still waiting to be picked up by the carrier. Don’t panic, I go to the post office 2 to 3 times a week to drop off my packages in batches. The tracking number is updated in 48 to 72 hours on the carrier’s website. Your package is in good hands, thank you for your patience 🙂
In most cases, your package is still in transit but has not been scanned at all stages of the delivery. In case of any doubts, you can contact the carrier by phone and give them your tracking number. The carrier often have more informations about the actual delivery of the packages. Do not hesitate to contact me by email at contact@thewitchhut.fr if your tracking number does not update within 7 days after shipping.
In many cases, the carrier can update the tracking number a few days before it’s actually delivered, especially La Poste France. Most of the time the package actually arrives the next day or a few days later, so don’t worry ! If the package is still not there after 7 days, contact me here or by email so that we can find a solution together
FRENCH PERFUMERY
Yes of course! Every product I make is 100% natural, vegan and cruelty-free. My raw materials are 100% french-based and from local organic producers. My scented raw materials are made in Grasse (France) without CMR or phthalates. I do not use any synthetic ingredients or synthetic scented oils in my products. All my raw materials are natural and made from essential oils and aromatic extracts.
I make different tyoes of perfumes : some “eau de toilette” (between 5 and 10% fragrance essences) and some “eau de parfum” (more of 15% of essences).
All of my perfumes are handmade in my small workshop in small quantities. I use a biodegradable alcohol base. I make perfumes by letting them macerate in fixative iris root powder for 28 days (one lunar cycle). The perfumes are then filtered.
Perfumes can be stored for up to 12 months in optimal storage conditions. The preservation of perfumery depends on several factors, such as the temperature of the storage room, transparency of the bottle, airtightness of the cap, sun.. The way we store our perfumes largely impacts their lifespan. In honor to make your perfume lasts as long as possible, place it in a cool room away from the sun. If a sour smell appears, do not use the product any more for safety reasons because it can cause allergies.
I can customize certain perfumes as far as possible (capacity, bottle or format). However, I don’t change the olfactive notes because one little change could change the whole perfume. For any personalized request, do not hesitate to contact me at contact@thewitchhut.fr to find some solutions together!
Natural and handmade perfumes are all unique. The fragrances blend with your personal scents and your skin’s pH can also come into play, as some people have more acidic skin than others. These different factors can influence how a perfume will smell on your skin. Also, if you feel like your perfume smells less strong over time, it’s because our noses do desensitize very quickly ! You can reset your nose by scenting raw coffee.
